How does an EAP work?
Our professionals stand ready to help you regain your own personal wellbeing, and be your partner in maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Best of all, the service is free.
An Employment Assistance Program is a confidential workplace benefit to help employees with emotional or relationship problems that are, or have the potential to, affect their performance on the job or their home life. An EAP makes available the services and expertise of professional, licensed counselors and therapists to help employees sort through their issues and arrive at solutions.
How effective is the process?
EAPs are becoming more and more popular as an employee benefit to employers in nearly every industry sector, and for good reason. One company found that more than 90% of cases were resolved by using the EAP service, avoiding the need for a referral and out-of-pocket expenses not covered by medical insurance.
